Severe weather underscores the need to act early

Recent storms in the Midwest show why outdoor safety plans must move people before dangerous weather arrives. 

A deadly week of Midwest weather offers a stark reminder for contractors and other businesses responsible for outdoor crews: severe weather plans must account for more than the moment a storm reaches the jobsite. A separate storm in Cincinnati ended differently. A man sought shelter beneath a tree when lightning struck him on the arm. His injuries were not life-threatening, but he described himself as “unbelievably lucky.”
