OutdoorCoffeeShop is where the industry meets

Heritage’s sponsorship of OCS is one of many examples of how they go above and beyond to serve their customers and industry. 

In a new episode of the From the Ground Up™ podcast, Karol Weyman got the chance to sit down with Rachel Mohorn and Brittainy Klein from the Heritage Family of Companies —premier sponsor of OutdoorCoffeeShop.com (OCS). Brittainy is the marketing director for Heritage Pool Supply Group and has over a decade of experience in the pool and spa industry. As for Rachel, she is the senior marketing director for the Heritage Family of Companies with a similar decade of experience as Brittainy.  

Heritage is one of the leading names in the outdoor construction industry. Rachel explained, “On the landscape side, Heritage Landscape Supply Group started in 2018. It started with its first acquisition in 2018 and since then it has grown to over 40+ brands, 230+ locations and 37+ states. And we just continue to grow at rapid speed.” As for the pool division at Heritage, Brittainy shared, “Heritage Pool Supply started in 2021. We currently have 22 sub-brands in 36 states and have 150+ locations.”  

Guiding all of that growth is Heritage’s mission of being servant leaders to their customers. In other words, they want to be able to put themselves in their customers’ shoes and support them in any way possible. One example of how Heritage goes above and beyond for their customers is the work they do through Heritage Cares. Rachel explained, “We really believe in giving back to our communities. We live and work in these communities. There's a lot of devastation and heartbreak in the world and we work to give even just an ounce back.”  

And another example is their sponsorship of OCS! Brittainy shared a bit about how this sponsorship fits into their mission, saying, “OCS is an incredible platform that's creating a real community in the outdoor trades... there's never been a central space where outdoor pros can really tell their stories. Here, they can learn from each other and even build real connections. We're helping to shape the future by not just supporting the platform, but by encouraging our teams and our customers to engage. We want contractors to be seen, not just for the work, but for their leadership, their challenges and for their wins.”  

By creating this powerful space, OCS is fostering a community atmosphere that is strengthening all parts of the outdoor industry, from landscapers to pool professionals and beyond. Rachel explained, “One of the really powerful things about OCS is that it creates interaction between the different markets in the outdoor construction industry. We all cross paths with landscapers, pool builders, irrigators, whatever it might be. And so even if creating a space where everyone will cross paths, you’re not only building community but also connections that can also help businesses thrive.”
