As landscapes come back to life, the spring season reveals what snow, moisture and organic debris leave behind. Leaf tannins, algae, mold, mildew and general grime often settle deep into porous stone and concrete over the colder months. This presents both a challenge and an opportunity as you work with your customers: restore outdoor surfaces quickly, safely and without damaging the surrounding environment.
Formerly known as S-TECH Stone and Masonry Cleaner, Stain-Proof® SMC Peroxide Cleaner is a ready-to-use hydrogen peroxide-based cleaner specifically formulated for stubborn organic stains and deeply embedded dirt in porous stone and masonry surfaces.
Unlike harsh acids or high-alkaline cleaners, this oxygen-based formula works by penetrating the surface, foaming and lifting organic material from within. SMC Peroxide Cleaner delivers results without added labor or risk, offering the following benefits:
In Florida’s humid climate, organic buildup is a constant challenge, especially on unsealed concrete that’s exposed to daily moisture. One residential sidewalk had developed dark staining and organic growth that regular rinsing wasn’t affecting. The homeowner wanted the surface cleaned and refreshed but was concerned about using harsh chemicals around nearby landscaping and their pets.
Using SMC Peroxide Cleaner, the contractor was able to tackle the stains quickly and safely. After pre-wetting the concrete, the cleaner was applied and allowed to sit while the oxygen-based formula began breaking down the organic material embedded in the surface. A light pass with a deck brush helped lift a few stubborn areas before a final rinse revealed a noticeably brighter, cleaner sidewalk. The project required minimal labor, no aggressive scrubbing and left the surrounding landscape untouched.
Stain-Proof SMC Peroxide Cleaner offers a smarter, safer way to refresh stone and concrete surfaces. Deliver clean, revitalized outdoor spaces just in time for spring to bloom this season.
