Larry DeWitt started his own landscaping business in Sikeston, Missouri, soon after earning degrees in horticulture and landscape design. In 1977, he was looking for a material to stop weeds and increase plant growth - without chemicals. But during those days, black plastic was a landscaper’s only option. Larry set out to create a better alternative. He experimented with textiles and materials until he finally hit pay dirt. He discovered that woven polypropylene did everything he wanted. Today, DeWitt products are used in more than 70 percent of the commercial landscaping jobs through out the United States. Tree care

DeWitt Tree Wrap is made of polypropylene fabric and easily conforms to fit any tree shape bark texture. Tree Wrap slowly photo degrades to prevent girdling of the tree’s trunk. DeWitt Tree Wrap protects trees from scorching and from trimmer & mower damage.

DeWitt Tree Mat Circles offer weed control, conserve moisture and greatly increases survivability and growth. Tree Mat Circles are available with a slit from edge to center. Available in green.

DeWitt Green Woven Groundcover is a woven polypropylene fabric that provides many years of reliable results. Green Woven Groundcover resists punctures, tears and weed growth.

DeWitt Bird & Pond Netting is a durable, UV-treated polypropylene with 3/4” hole openings that allows in sunlight, moisture and ventilation.
