The Northeast Spa and Pool Association (NESPA) is helping member companies expand their skills through the Rizzo Training Grant, which provides access to eligible industry education programs offered by NESPA and its chapters. Available exclusively to NESPA members, the grant supports ongoing education for company leaders and employees while helping strengthen professional expertise across the regional industry workforce.
NESPA believes ongoing education is key to building a business and employees' expertise. In some cases, certifications or licensing may be required to operate lawfully in specific locations. The grant is intended to make more of the association's educational opportunities available to qualifying employees of NESPA member companies.
Grant funds may be used for training offered throughout the region, including courses held at NESPA headquarters, in-person Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) certification courses, chapter education programs and continuing education courses. Grants can also include the cost of manuals or books required for an eligible class.
Through the program, NESPA aims to help individuals take advantage of education offered by its Professional Training Institute and assist members in reaching a higher level of professional performance. Grant recipients must be employees of a NESPA member company, keeping the program focused on education for the association's member workforce.
Awards will continue to be given until the funds allocated for the year are exhausted. The grant cannot be used for courses at The Pool and Spa Show or for online courses. Members interested in participating can review upcoming training opportunities and apply for available grant support.
For member companies seeking to build skills through industry education, the Rizzo Training Grant creates a path to qualifying regional programs without the cost of eligible training. By covering approved courses and required materials, the program can help members make education more accessible to their employees throughout NESPA's region.
