Daye North America (DNA) announced today the launch of its Green Machine® Hybrid Zero-Turn Riding Mower (HZT42), featuring industry-leading, patent-pending hybrid technology. This mower doesn’t just cut grass; it changes what homeowners can expect from outdoor power equipment by combining seamless hybrid power integration with a multi-functional removable generator that extends its value far beyond the yard.

Hybrid Power, Extended Range

At the heart of the HZT42 is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery pack (51.2V, 48Ah, 2,457Wh) – an advanced chemistry that outperforms standard lithium-ion in both cycle life and safety. Paired with a removeable 4000W gas generator, the system ensures uninterrupted mowing while also serving as a versatile power source for tools, property needs or backup.

Key innovations include:

• Seamless hybrid integration: Runs on battery until recharge is needed; the generator automatically engages, recharges the battery and powers the mower without interruption, the shuts off when no longer required.
• Equivalent to 25HP gas power: Delivers the same cutting performance as leading gas zero turns.
• Extended range – up to 5 acres: A single charge-and generator cycle can mow up to 5 acres with no downtime.
• No extra batteries needed: Unlike many battery-only systems, the HZT42 is ready to cover large properties without costly add-ons.
• Multi-functional generator: A true dual-purpose solution; the removable generator isn’t just a mower accessory, it doubles as a stand-alone power source for the home, shop or outdoors.
• Smarter gas use, lower costs: The patent-pending hybrid technology reduces reliance on gas, saving fuel and extended engine life by running it only when needed; resulting in less wear, lower emissions and reduced maintenance.
