How WITI is creating opportunities across the pool & spa sector.

Northeast Spa & Pool Association (NESPA) is making waves across the industry with their Women in the Industry (WITI) initiative, a program dedicated to supporting and empowering professionals in the pool and spa industry.  WITI invites women of all experience levels to take advantage of the community, and while membership to NESPA is certainly helpful, it is not a requirement to join. For those wishing to create broad industry impact, WITI is an excellent opportunity to develop stronger leadership skills, expand professional networks and increase opportunities for growth.

WITI's purpose is to raise awareness and address challenges women face in the industry, believing that workforce development and mentorship are essential to the industry’s future.  The organization provides encouragement, education and practical resources all while striving to create a more supportive and inclusive industry culture. The resources include on-demand professional development sessions, workshops like the 2026 “Lead the Ask; Negotiation Training” event at the annual Pool and Spa Show in January and organizational luncheons, providing women in the pool and spa industry with opportunities to growth their knowledge and network in a space designed for them.

The ultimate goal for WITI is to pave the way for the future of the pool and spa industry by giving back to both the industry itself and the community at large. To that end, they create space for more voices and new ideas. By creating pathways for future leaders, they are investing in the success of the industry. But their community involvement does not stop there. In October, WITI is holding its annual 5K walk/run in Norristown, Pennsylvania. They have partnered with the non-profit organization Every Child a Swimmer, which aims to expand access to potentially life-saving swimming instruction to children across the United States.

WITI’s impact goes beyond supporting women in the pool and spa industry. The ripple effects of their advocacy strengthens the industry through education, leadership and connection.
